MARKETING MANGER/PROJECT MANAGER
Job Description
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, independent, aggressive individual. Reporting to our Vice-President and our Sr. Project Manager this individual will serve a dual role as both a project manager and marketing manager for JIS. 50% of this role will be spent as a project manager on Web development and e-mail marketing consulting engagements. In this role you will eventually own the entire life cycle related to managing customer deliverables. This requires significant organization, coordination and control of both JIS clients and JIS developers. The remaining 50% of this role will be to serve as dedicated marketing manager for JIS. In this role you will be responsible for working with Sr. Management to formulate and execute an advertising / marketing and communications plan for the JIS business. The candidate will receive training and support from the VP/GM, JIS Project Managers and our Web design / Development teams. The role involves significant communication with clients and team members via phone, conference calls, webex, and some face to face meetings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Project manager for Web Development and E-Mail Marketing engagements
• Supervise the individual responsible for the scheduling and execution of approximately 120 individual customer e-mail campaigns per year.
• Work closely with JIS designers, developers and clients
• Manage the design, scheduling and the execution of the JIS marketing / promotional campaign:
• Manage accounts relationships through the design, development, deployment and follow up reporting process.
• Performing key project management aspects including:
- Information / requirements gathering
- Appointment / conference call / Go2Meeting setting
- Client interfacing
- Scheduling of deliverables and development resources
- Keeping projects on timelines
- Pointing out, out of scope requests and document project change request forms
- Website Performance metrics / results reporting
• Successfully communicate and interact with members of our development team
• Recommend and help establish new revenue based opportunities
• Design, develop and implement JIS business marketing / communication plans including quarterly e-newsletter
• Support the Vice President / GM as needed
Required Skills / Experience
• A minimum of 3-6 years experience in project management / marketing / communications.
• Internet marketing, Internet Consulting, e-business services or online advertising experience helpful
• Highly organized / Independent worker
• Ability to simultaneously multiple projects / deliverables
• Self-motivated and aggressive with excellent communication skills
• Proven ability to manage and organize deliverables
• The ability to control and manage projects to profitability
• A Working knowledge of Internet marketing and development terms is a plus
• Eager to learn and grow with the position
• Fluent with Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint
• BA/BS required
Job Location
The job will be based in our Wilton , CT office and requires very limited travel to occasional client meetings or industry trade events.
